Within the scope of the World Standards Day celebrating each year on 14 October, Standardization Summit was held in Ankara, thanks to the joint efforts by Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).
The Minister of Industry and Technology, Mustafa Varank, TOBB President Rıfat Hisarcıklıoğlu and TSE President Adem Şahin and many other guests were participated to the Summit named on the theme “Direct the International Standards”.
During the Summit, the importance of the standard activities and works of Mirror Committees were highlighted to the all parties concerned. Moreover, the National Standardization Strategy Certification and Action Plan to be prepared in cooperation between the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TSE was implied during the speeches.
Following the Summit, representatives of private sectors, public bodies, non-governmental organization and universities attended the Mirror Committees and made contribution to international standardization works on behalf of Turkey were awarded with plaques.
