TSE Inks Agreements with Qatar QS and ASHGHAL

The 5th meeting of Turkey-Qatar High Strategic Committee between Turkey and Qatar was held in Qatar with the attendance of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Than.

In total, seven agreements in the fields of economy, urbanization, trade, industry, technology, and standardization, among others, were signed to boost bilateral relations.

The joint declaration on laboratory establishment project for trade facilitation and consumer protection between Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) and Qatar General Organization for Standardization (QS), was signed by Turkey’s Minister of Industry and Technology, Mustafa Varank and Qatari counterpart Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Subaie.

Additionally, TSE President Prof. Adem Şahin and the president of Public Works Authority of Qatar (ASHGHAL), Saad Al Muhannedi inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the fields of Standardization and Conformity Assessment.
