TSE President Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin and the accompanying delegation visited to Uzbekistan to attend the Uzbek-Turk Test Center's Board of Directors Meeting and to discuss bilateral collaboration.
Uzbek – Turk Test Center Board of Directors meeting was held
The Twenty-fourth Board of Directors Meeting of the Uzbek – Turk Test Center, a joint affiliate of the Uzbek Technical Regulation Agency (ÖZSTANDARD) and TSE, was held on April 26, 2022.
The parties addressed the Uzbek-Turk Test Center's activities for 2020 and 2021, financial audit reports, and the program for 2022 at the meeting, and expressed their satisfaction with the Company's laboratories being equipped with modern devices.
Following the meeting, TSE President Şahin and the accompanying delegation paid a visit to the ÖZSTANDARD laboratories.
The Joint Cooperation Program for the Period 2021-2022 Has Been Signed
TSE and ÖZSTANDARD signed a Joint Cooperation Program for the Period 2021-2022 during the visit in order to develop bilateral cooperation.
Expressing that TSE is ready to provide all kinds of support for the development of the quality infrastructure in Uzbekistan, TSE President Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin stated the fact that Turkey is Uzbekistan's fourth largest trade partner, with trade volume exceeding $3 billion, is an opportunity to expand the scope of established relations with ÖZSTANDARD.
It is planned to continue studies and trainings within the framework of the Joint Cooperation Program for the Period 2021-2022 in order to create a new standardization structure in Uzbekistan by utilizing TSE's experience in the field of international standardization. Furthermore, it is intended to provide technical support for the accreditation of the test laboratories of the Uzbek Scientific Test and Quality Control Center within the framework of TSE laboratories' accreditation experience.
Visit to Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Tashkent
TSE delegation also visited the Turkish Embassy in Tashkent as part of the Uzbekistan program. During the visit, TSE President Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin briefed Ambassador Olgan Bekar on the TSE Delegation's meetings in Uzbekistan and the projects on the agenda.
