Mahmut Sami Şahin, President of the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE), said, "TSE's cooperation areas in Azerbaijan have developed and moved to a more comprehensive ground. I believe that the continuity in cooperation will prepare the infrastructure for new projects and that our new stakeholders based on mutual benefit will deepen in many areas."
The State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan completed TSE's audits and received TS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, TS EN ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems and TS ISO 10002 Customer Satisfaction Management Systems certificates.
TSE President Mahmut Sami Şahin, Ambassador of Republic of Türkiye to Baku Cahit Bağcı, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan İgbal Babayev, Head of Chairman of the Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gulu Novruzov, Academy management staff and students attended the ceremony held at The State Customs Committee Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the presentation of certificates.
Şahin stated that TSE has been serving in sister country Azerbaijan for more than 30 years, serious studies have been carried out to establish a strong quality infrastructure and increase the trade volume between the two countries in this process.
Şahin pointed out that the strengthening of TSE's multi-faceted cooperation in Azerbaijan and the development of these studies not only in the field of certification, but also in new projects and other service scopes will contribute to both Türkiye and Azerbaijan industry.
TSE President Şahin continued his words as follows: ‘Since the beginning of the 1990s, we have supported our brothers in the development of Azerbaijan's quality infrastructure, and we will continue to do so. Of course, today, unlike the 1990s, we see an Azerbaijan that has become a center of attraction with its rapidly growing economy and the advantages it provides to foreign investors. It has become easier to carry out joint projects with the increasing potential cooperation opportunities between the two countries and the mutually developed environment of trust. These developments have also greatly benefited the development of TSE's service range in Azerbaijan; cooperation areas have developed and moved to a broader platform. I sincerely believe that this continuity in cooperation will prepare the infrastructure for many new projects and that our new mutually beneficial partnerships will deepen in many areas.’
Noting that they are ready to share the experience of TSE, Şahin said, "We believe in the power of our cooperation. We will continue to make the best effort to develop cooperation with Azerbaijan. If we increase our cooperation in the field of standardization and training, we will increase our development."
Baku Ambassador Bagci said that Türkiye and Azerbaijan are in a period of deepening and developing relations in every field, and that they are progressing in line with the targets of the Shusha Declaration.
Emphasizing that the Shusha Declaration is an order, Bagci used the phrases, "We act with the understanding of 'whatever we have, yours'. We share our experiences. We are at Azerbaijan's disposal for whatever it takes in terms of quality and standardization."
Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan Babayev stated that they are pleased with the cooperation between TSE and the Academy. Babayev stated that the standards of TSE will make a great contribution to the achievement of the Academy's goals.
Gulu Novruzov, Head of Chairman of the Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said that they have been in close cooperation with TSE since 2019 and they were finally entitled to 3 certificates.
Novruzov emphasized that these certificates will make significant positive contributions to the education life of the Academy, raising new generations and achieving the goals.
After the speeches, TSE President Şahin and Ambassador Bağcı presented the certificates to Novruzova.
