Mahmut Sami ŞAHİN, born in Karaman in 1971, graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Selçuk University in 1993 and completed his master's degree at the same University.
Between 1995-1998, he worked as an executive engineer in the machinery manufacturing and hydraulic automation sectors in Konya.
He founded his own hydraulic and automation company in 1998. He carried out engineering service and production activities as a solution partner of companies in the field of hydraulics and automation. He has provided engineering services in projects related to the defense industry since 2010.
He served as Deputy Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Deputy Chairman of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Parliament Group and Council Member of Meram District between 2014-2019.
He became the founding partner and board member of InnoPark A.Ş. Konya Technology Development Zone, founded in 2015.
In 2019, he worked as the member of TÜBİTAK MAM Robotic Clustering Group, the project evaluation panelist in TÜBİTAK and Konya InnoPark A.Ş and as the committee member of the Konya Plain Project (KOP) region InnoPark SME Mentor Project.
Mr. ŞAHİN completed the management systems certification processes of TS EN ISO 9001, TS EN ISO 14001, TS ISO 45001, TS EN ISO/IEC 27001 in his company and became the approved supplier of defense industry companies.
In 2020, he lectured Hydraulic Automation course as a Visiting Lecturer at Necmettin Erbakan University, Faculty of Aeronautics and Aeronautics Engineering Department.
He was appointed as the Head of the Konya Plain Project Regional Development Administration with the Presidential decree numbered 2021/93 on January 30, 2021.
Mahmut Sami ŞAHİN, who is married and has four children, was elected as the Chairman of the Board of TSE at the 61st General Assembly held on May 30, 2022.
